CPVC

CPVC is a cream or off white pipe that will be found near the PVC at the home improvement store. Unlike PVC it can be used for hot water lines.

Since it is much less popular than PVC, the big home improvement stores tend to stock only a few fittings; probably not the ones you need to connect to the bathtub or sink in your mobile home. These specialized fittings will probably have to come from a mobile home supply store. You may save money if you buy what you can at the big store and then visit a mobile home supply store for the rest.

CPVC is a solvent welded material that can be cut with a hacksaw or tubing cutter and is flexible and relatively easy to work with. Depending on the size of the job, there are a range of options for working with CPVC. For big jobs, solvent will be the cheapest and most reasonable. Spending $5 on primer and cement makes a lot more sense when the job is large.

For a single connection (such as a leaking connector under the sink or special cases like replacing a failing poly fitting), there are other options. The more expensive, but superior by far option is the ”Push Fit” fitting. These fittings are incredible - you simply push them in place, needing no tools or anything to install them. They can even be removed with a very inexpensive tool. They are certified for use in areas without access panels, which is a huge advantage. Both the Genova and Push Fit fittings work on copper, CPVC, PEX, and poly(butylene). The biggest headache with the Push Fit fittings is convincing people that the fittings are that simple to use. The name tells you everything you need to know about installing one. You push it on. They are an exciting development, although they do come at a slight premium. But when replacing a single connector, it is really worth it for the simplicity.
