Awesome parts, but there is now a better option

Genova fittings were the best mobile home water line repair part I had found as of a couple years ago. They are a little pricy, which is why the professionals don't use them a lot. However, a homeowner can get a leak free connection every time without the use of tools or glue!

For professionals it is worth buying a $100+ crimp tool so they can use cheap connectors. For the homeowner Genova was the answer. Now it is one of two options.

The new, even better option are "press fit" fittings, also known as "Shark Bite fittings". These parts are awesome. You simply press them onto the pipe to make a leak-free connection. There are no parts to be assembled. They are certified to be used where there is no easy access (unlike Genova fittings).

Whatever your preference, the best place to check out the options available is at Magic Mobile Home Supply, especially the Miscellaneous Parts page of the plumbing section. Their "Magic" hookup kits are also an excellent option. You can purchase all the parts you need to add (or replace) sink and toilet shut off valves in a single package. Where possible, they will use their crimp tool to add low-cost connections, saving you money and making the repair very simple.
